SATURDAY and SUNDAY, JULY 16 & 17, 2005

At Downriver Farm, Laidlaw, B.C. (about 80 miles east of Vancouver)
Judges: Sharon Simmons and Ken Silveira


Saturday

SHEEP: 40 runs
3-5 head per run - Course B
CATTLE: 3-5 head per run - Course A
DUCKS: 5 head per run- Course B
CATTLE and DUCKS- 40 runs COMBINED

Sunday

SHEEP: 40 runs
3-5 head per run - Course B
CATTLE: 3-5 head per run - Course A
DUCKS: 5 head per run- Course B
CATTLE and DUCKS- 40 runs COMBINED

Divisions:

Started, Open, Advanced, Junior Handler, Novice Handler, FEO

Awards:

*** Ribbons each day: 1st through 4th in each division, High in Trial Aussie, High in Trial Other Breed, High Score Sheep, High Score Ducks, High Score Cattle.

***Prizes each day: High in Trial Aussie, High in Trial Other Breed. Additional Prizes may be awarded.

***Weekend Prizes: Most Promising Started Aussie, Most Promising Started Other Breed. High Combined Open Aussie, High Combined Open Other Breed. High Combined Advance Aussie, High Combined Advance Other Breed.


Saturday, July 16. Judges: Ken Silveira :Cattle and Ducks; Sharon Simmons : Sheep . Entries, if available. (Day-of-Trial entries close at 7:30 a.m.) 8:00 a.m. Handlers meeting. Trial begins immediately after the meeting.

Sunday, July 17. Judges: Sharon Simmons : Cattle and Ducks ; Ken Silveira : Sheep. Entries, if available. (Day-of-Trial entries close at 7:30 a.m.) 8:00 a.m. Handlers meeting. Trial begins immediately after the meeting.

Entries. All Entries must be on an official ASCA entry form. No entry postmarked before June 6, 2005 will be accepted. Entries will be accepted as described in the ASCA rules. A waiting list will be maintained for each class of stock if entries exceed the available number of runs. If an owner pulls an entry and that space is filled from the waiting list, a refund shall be made. No entries may be substituted except in accordance with ASCA rules. Pre-entries must be postmarked not later than June 30 , 2005. Run order will be drawn randomly before the trial. Bitches in season may run in the drawn run order.

*ATTENTION OTHER BREED COMPETITORS

As of January 2003, all persons wishing ASCA to track scores towards ASCA titles, earned by their other breed dog at ASCA events, must register their dog with ASCA to obtain a tracking number. A one time tracking fee/dog of $10.00 along with a one time 1 year full or service Membership to ASCA is required. Forms will be available on show grounds or at :

many stockdog trialers.

Camping: Free camping on the grounds, self-contained only, no hookups.

Food. There will be no food concession on the site. There will be a Handlers Dinner in Hope on Saturday evening.

Directions: Laidlaw is near Hope, on the TransCanada Highway, about a 45-minute drive east from the Sumas border crossing. From the Highway, take Laidlaw Exit 153 and turn south, proceed past Jones Lake Road, turn right on McKay Road and turn in beside the sheep pasture (first driveway on the right).
